Debdipto Biswas

Known as Deep · Founder and Brand Strategist

BISWAS is not an invented luxury name. It is Deep's own surname. It is also the Bengali word বিশ্বাস, meaning trust, belief, and faith. The name is not simply printed as a logo. It is debossed into the leather as a mark of personal accountability.

Deep is an international development economist and a former diplomat. At twenty five, he was posted to the British High Commission in Tanzania. The years that followed took him through more than fifty countries and into rooms where what you carry is read before what you say.

Educated at the University of Cambridge and Harvard Business School, with a personal and cultural connection to Kolkata, Deep moves easily between worlds. BISWAS connects family, language, surname, trust, and accountability into a single mark.

In diplomatic environments, the objects carried were not incidental. At checkpoints, receptions, borders, offices, and formal rooms, the card holder in his pocket became part of how he arrived before he spoke. The object had to perform quietly. It had to be presentable, practical, and worth producing in rooms where judgement mattered. This experience shaped the brand belief that small objects carry signals.

"My name is on every piece. That is not branding. It is a commitment."
Debdipto Biswas

BISWAS is not a name chosen for effect. It is the founder's own surname.

His name is not printed onto the product. It is pressed into the leather.

Trust is not a feature. It is the foundation.

Partner and Creative Lead

Designed to land, not just to look.

Creative work is rarely neutral. It changes meaning depending on where it appears, who sees it, and what it signals.

Saruul shapes the visual language of BISWAS so the brand feels premium without pretending. His work connects aesthetic taste with commercial clarity.

Originally from Mongolia and educated at Hult International Business School, he has worked across four countries. BISWAS needed more than beautiful leather. It needed a visual language that could hold its story.
